Nick, Roy and I had finished cutting the cardboard– it was time to paint it. Roy bought some silver and brown spray paint, and Nick and I got started…

Nick paints the shields. We didn't realise at the time, but the red circles provide a great target for enemy archers.

I'm pretty sure Viking sails didn't have floral prints, but it will have to do.
